Prior to this update, I ONLY used lyft in sf. Newest update has a lot of the anti-passenger features that uber recently added to their platform. These include:
1. Removing the Prime time (surge) multiplier and only showing what the estimated total cost of the trip will be. Stripping the app of this diminishes transparency of fares--a tool that uber (and now lyft) uses to conceal or downplay the true cost of rush hour premiums.
2. Adding additional clicks before a lyft is requested. You now have to "skip" adding a destination if you want a lyft called while you put a destination in. This is probably caused by #1.
This is tragic because lyft was the uber alternative in SF...now there is little that differentiates lyft from uber. Will be splitting my rides (I probably spend $3-400 a month on lyft) between uber and lyft until lyft stops this deceptive practice.
