First of all, if you havent taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon "LYFT820" to get $50 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payments tab in the app and enter the coupon there. Might as well try it out since it probably wont cost you a thing!! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the drivers face, phone number, and car make and model. Its amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button!!! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!! Lyft is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I dont see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, its still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didnt have to say anything more than a short comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. Im very happy and I hope Lyft continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service! I also prefer Lyft much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!!

Long story short, im f***king with this app until proven otherwise. It serves its purpose!

Prior to this update, I ONLY used lyft in sf. Newest update has a lot of the anti-passenger features that uber recently added to their platform. These include: 1. Removing the Prime time (surge) multiplier and only showing what the estimated total cost of the trip will be. Stripping the app of this diminishes transparency of fares--a tool that uber (and now lyft) uses to conceal or downplay the true cost of rush hour premiums. 2. Adding additional clicks before a lyft is requested. You now have to "skip" adding a destination if you want a lyft called while you put a destination in. This is probably caused by #1. This is tragic because lyft was the uber alternative in SF...now there is little that differentiates lyft from uber. Will be splitting my rides (I probably spend $3-400 a month on lyft) between uber and lyft until lyft stops this deceptive practice.

Cannot use this app because it would not take my French phone number that Im using here in the Bay Area !!

I only use this app to drive and not to get rides and find it so easy and convenient to make money. Way better with their drivers than uber. I literally just turn on the app when I am far way for home and quite often get paid to come back to my place. Otherwise, I meet great people and drive around for a bit. Wont make a living with it but definitely can enjoy some side money. Thanks Lyft!

Authorized phone numbers seem to be US only. Not usable anywhere else.

Usually works very well ! Just once where I waited for a long time, the driver was meant to be 2 minutes away, but no one ever came. Maybe the time estimation needs to be worked on, its not always very accurate but otherwise great !

Lyft is more convenient than über, a little bit cheaper, but way faster to find a driver. Ive never waited more than 3 minutes, anywhere in San Francisco and even around the bay. There is also the possibility to tip the drivers, which is maybe why it is cheaper, but you can chose to tip or not, and how much you want to tip.

Easy to use, good taxi drivers, good prices

This app is really good, the only con is that it takes longer for the drivers to accept the ride. Maybe cause theres not too many cars for Lyft.

It is impossible to register your brazilian phone number. Let us know when you guys fix it, please.

Does not allow to login with a Brazilian Number. Please fix this for us to use or remove from Brazil App Store

Im from brazil and i cant even seen if lyft is available for brazil because when enter my phone it shows me that the field is wrong, so im not able to use the app
